Out of commission

Last week I spent a few days in LA/Huntington Beach with my mom and Mikey (my mom was there on business so Mikey and I drove up to stay with her and have a little sightseeing vaca of our own), then my mom came down here to San Diego to visit with Frank and I for a little while. She goes back to Washington tomorrow but we will also be without Internet starting tomorrow, or Monday for a few days. Hopefully no longer than a week at the most!

I swear once we are back up and running I'll need to plan a whole day just to catching up on posts! It's going to be insane. Especially since we'll be leaving shortly after that for a trip home. Busy bees we are :)

So for now I'll leave you with a few pictures from our fun times this past week...

Balboa Park

Ahh Balboa... I love you! If you have never been to San Diego one of the places I always tell people they must visit is Balboa Park (and the zoo!). I just love walking around taking in all the beautiful scenery, and as many pictures as possible. We hadn't been out there in quite a while so I figured it was perfect time to have fun with my camera.

I can not wait till Frank is done with his dental work and has a tooth again. I miss his big wide open smile!

This isn't the best picture, but I love that I was able to catch Molly in the middle of running and being only on one paw!

Best picture EVER!!

Nate's Point at Balboa is one of my favorite dog parks, I just wish they had more than two tables up at the front and some lights!! Call me lazy but I want to sit down and relax while my dogs are playing, and I'd rather not do it in the dark if I want to go at night. Oh well, we still enjoy it during the day when we can get out there.

Oktoberfest

In hopes of catching up I'm going to just be posting lots of pictures, mostly because if I try to sit down and remember everything we were doing at the time the pictures were taken.. well it might take me too long. I don't know about anyone else but I love being busy :) And we have been crazy busy lately and I don't see it slowing down anytime soon.

Still here...

Just having a Friends marathon (we have them every few months) and reading Dave Ramsey's 'Total Money Makeover' together. I never thought I'd have so much fun reading a book with Frank. He's also been loving this book now that he's reading it. He was so so on it while I was reading, now he's totally into it. I love it!
I think once we finish it I'm going to look for a used copy of 'Financial Peace' so we can read that together as well... or just anything really I'm loving this time together at night when we sit down and go back and forth reading. NOT something I ever thought we'd be doing.

I'm weeks behind in pictures and don't plan to edit them except maybe crop a few, now I just need to post them!

I have a list of things we need to sell on craigslist but keep forgetting to get around to it.. story of our life ha. Hey if anyone in the San Diego area are looking for a DVD player or women's motorcycle gear let me know :)

I want to find a free mattress for our spare room before my mom comes down at the end of the month... maybe I should start looking then!?? Humm.

Deals galore

Boy am I glad that I took Mikey down to the outlet mall in San Ysidro! I hadn't been in a while and apparently they have put in a Bath & Body Works outlet store as well as a Victoria Secret outlet. You better believe we were in heaven :)

Mikey used to work at a Bath & Body Works outlet in Texas and I hadn't been to one since we lived in Virginia, we missed that place like no other. I hit up everything that was around $1 which was the soaps. I now do not have to worry about buying hand soap for MONTHS! Everything I bought below came too... $30!! Okay it might have been a few more but I don't have the receipt anymore, but I do know it was around $30. Amazing (and yes you have to picture me singing that ha).

For my Washington folk I looked it up and the only Bath & Body Works outlet in Washington is at the Centralia outlet. Totally surprised me since they kind of suck. Or at least I think so.

The Victoria Secret store was still under construction so I assumed they would have more later in my size. I went back with Frank about a week after I went with Mikey, the store was done but my size was still next to nothing. Big bummer. They have this awesome deal for undies, 10 for $25! I ended up getting mine for $23. Too bad I had to get a few x-smalls in hopes they would fit.. and a few didn't. I'm going to give them to my cousin in hopes they work for her though. Word of advice, if you wear a small you will have very little luck there.

I did however love that the vegan line of the VS Pink products was super cheap. This is my favorite shaving cream and it was going for around $2 I believe.. again I don't have the receipt anymore. Maybe Mikey can help me with remembering!??

I also looked up to see if there was a VS outlet in Washington, and that would be a big fat no. Bummer for you guys.

Ahh I love me some deals :)
